Primarilly working on a TCS Programme on Waste Minimisation and the developement of new materials
I have developed good communicational skills, through presentations to the company, University and
the public. I have lead and implemented a Waste Minimisation Audit which has helped develop my teamwork skills.
During my first few months I started the implementation of the "Producers Responsibility Obligations" into the company.
This also involved giving a presentation to the company Directorate and a presentation at a seminar.

I was employed as a summer student. I was responsible for settingup the Centre's
Web Site as well as working on Process and Product Design, Analysis,Innovation
and Development, which are the Centre's fields of expertise.I am also studied
ISO 14001 to prepare information on it for the Web Site.

I am employed as a Screen Host in the absence of the full time
supervisors I am responsible for the organisation of screen hosts’
duties and the cleaning of screens.

I was responsible for daily quality control checks throughout all
areas of production. I carried out a water treatment plant study
and made recommendations aimed at improving its efficiency and safety,
presenting my findings to the senior management.
I carried out limited tests to examine the possibility of recycling
scrap clay.

I am highly computer literate, with working knowledge of a wide range of
packages and applications. I also have my own

I have attended numerous business workshops and also a presentation
skills workshop. These have taught me teamwork, organisational, and
leadership skills.
Hobbies and Interests:
I am a Graduate member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.
I was the Entertainment's Officerof the University
Canoeing Club
and I have represented them at the Northern Ireland Canoe Polo Championships
and the Intervarsities.I also have my 4 Star White Water
I am very interested in music and have played the
violin for 12 years.I was a member of the school orchestra for several years and a member
of the North East Ulster Schools Symphony orchestra for 8 years
touring Europe with them twice.
I was heavily involved in the dramatic arts for several years before
coming to university. I was lighting director for the school dramatic
society and also for the Fortwilliam Musical Society, with whom I also
performed on stage.
I was a member of the Peace and Reconciliation
Inter Schools Movement for two years, where I gained an
understanding of other peoples’ views and experience in leading group
discussions on sensitive topics.
